We are approximately 40 minutes away by plane and four hours away from downtown San Jose to Liberia by car.
How to get there from San Jose:
By car take the main highway north to the city of Liberia, turn left where the road makes a V, follow the road for 30 km until you reach the town of Belen; turn right and follow signs to Flamingo Beach. Upon reaching the town of Huacas, continue straight until reaching the small town called Matapalo. This road is gravel but in good conditions. From Matapalo, drive in the direction of Conchal Beach until you reach to the Condor Hotel. Turn left and follow the road for about 9 km. You will soon se our sign: "Welcome to Bahia de los Piratas".

permits our customers enjoy the it’s natural diversity.
Weather
The Guanacaste climate is warm and dry, with an average temperature from 25° to 32°. The summer season is from November through May. Winter months are known as the "green season" and guests can expect light rains in late afternoons. Luckily, the Bahia de los Piratas is situated in one of the driest regions of Costa Rica, and we experience pleasant weather even in the peak of the green season.
